A few updates

car bootOn Thursday 20 June, we’ll be holding a car boot sale at Penzance Rugby Grounds. We’re looking for any unwanted household items you might have that you’d like to contribute to the cause – anything will do, but we would prefer not to have clothing or toys. If you’ve got anything for us, please bring it to Monday evening’s meeting. If, for some reason, you’re unable to come to the meeting, you can drop things off with Gill any time up until Thursday. And if you’re at a loose end on Thursday, stop in at the car boot sale and say hello to Sue and Helen who’ll be hard at work selling!

There are two fantastic craft days coming up that you may not yet have put your name down for:

First, on Monday 24 June, Hazel will be leading an oil-painting day. If you haven’t yet seen Hazel’s work, you’ll be very impressed – and she promises that we’ll be able to produce something worth hanging at home! No experience at all is required so don’t worry if you haven’t tried painting before. The workshop will be from 10am until 4pm. Bring a packed lunch, but coffee, tea and cake will be provided. The cost is the usual £2 hostess fee plus the cost of materials.

On Friday 26 July, there will be a felt ball workshop at Lis’s house. You’ve all noticed the lovely felt ball necklaces Lis wears, and here’s your chance to make your own! The workshop begins at 10am and goes until 3pm. There is a £2 hostess fee plus a charge of £5 for instruction and materials. You’ll be using gorgeous merino wool to create something absolutely stunning! Again, bring a packed lunch, but coffee, tea and cake will be provided.

For more information about either of the workshops, contact Lis on (01736) 754146.
