If you’ve been following this blog, you’ll have seen how other Federations across the country have been celebrating the WI Centenary with the baton. It’s due to come to Cornwall in February of next year, and all sorts of exciting things are planned!
On the 18th, we’ll have the baton in Penwith. You’ll have a chance to go to either a morning event at Land’s End or an afternoon event in Marazion – or both!
You’ll be able to sign up with Alison at our Monday meeting. This is a once in a hundred years opportunity, so don’t miss out!
Hi Helen,
Thanks for update on the baton arrangements. Looks very good. Geoff tells me that the ‘Social Singers’ from Marazion Apollo Male Choir, of which he is member, have been requested to and have agreed to sing at the afternoon event at the Godolphin. If this is so then I would like to put my name down for the afternoon event and I’ll come along with him. Just for info quite a few of Madron WI’s members are ‘choir wives’ like myself, so I guess that they too are planning to come …if that helps with nos.
Separately I received your email regarding Thursday 27 Nov. whilst away and did reply to you …. I only had Wi Fi connection ….as had turned the internet roaming off to save on bills …. please did you receive OK ?
I’m not at the Nov meeting as away so please will you add my name to the apologies list.
See you soon.
Love Beth x
