The Crowlas & Ludgvan Camera Club had planned to go to the Jubilee Pool for a photo session this month, but Mother Nature did not cooperate and we were forced indoors. As it turned out, we had a lovely time at Gail’s house playing around with some food photography.
We photographed everything from beautiful lemons and pomegranates to not-so-beautiful pea soup and baked beans. It’s all about the challenge! We played with different lighting and different coloured backdrops and a tripod even came into play. We all brought along items to photograph, and then we raided Gail’s fridge and pantry. We learnt that tinned sardines do not photograph particularly well, in addition to being very smelly.
As the Jubilee Pool season has been extended this year, we will have one more attempt at getting there. If you’d like to join us, please meet at the entrance to the Pool at 1:30pm on Friday 20th October. In case of rain, we will make plans for another indoor photography project.
