Many thanks to Kathy for organising a memorable trip for our twinning with Camelford. We met at the Falmouth Pavillions and had coffee outside with the view of the beautiful bandstand and its flower beds which were being planted up as we watched. The head gardener gave us a short but very interesting history of the house and it’s gardens. After a tour of the gardens with its shell grottos and an amazing variety of plants we walked down to the Maritime museum to see the Titanic Exhibition. We followed with lunch at Rick Stein’s and then a Roskilly ice cream in the Square.
All this with Falmouth sparkling in the hot sunshine. A perfect day. (Jane)
