We were delighted to welcome David Billingham to The Murley Hall as speaker for our October Meeting. As an employee of the family run business since 1964 David was able to offer a unique insight into the history of the quality clothing store, with photos dating back around 150 years. David highlighted the changes that have taken place, from the early shop with a workforce of around a hundred, and most of the clothes being made in their own onsite workshop, to the familiar shop in the Market Place that we all know.
