The Royal Cornwall Show was a busy few days for a number of our Crowlas & Ludgvan members. Julia and Beth were there working on behalf of the CFWI Board of Trustees, and Mary put in a lot of hard labour helping to set everything up as a member of the Exhibitions Sub-Committee.
Dorothy made an appearance in the WI Marquee with a table devoted to her lovely folk art. She was very clever to position herself directly below our Crowlas & Ludgvan penant!
And Colleen and Helen spent a long day serving tea and coffee.
It wasn’t all drudgery, though! We did get a peek at Princess Anne as she was escorted round our marquee by CFWI Chairman Kathy Reed.
Last but certainly not least, a huge amount of time and effort was put into our entry in the WI exhibition, ‘An Afternoon Tea for Today.’ We didn’t win, but our score was quite good and we did our WI proud! A big thank you to those who helped: Diane, Dorothy, Helen, Jane, Pat G., Shirley, Susan and Val P.
Better luck next year!
