The April meeting Crowlas and Ludgvan W I brought speaker Juliet Taylor to the Murley Hall for a fascinating talk on upholstering the Houses of Parliament. As an interior designer, Juliet was able to give members a unique perspective on the red and green of the Houses of Commons and Lords in the Palace of Westminster from behind the scenes. This month’s competition, for a handmade cushion, brought a record number of entries, and an array of colourful handicrafts was put on display.
